By default Simply Seasons makes crops, trees and other plants only grow in specific seasons. Outside of this season they will do one of four things. Grow slowly, Not grow, Turn to junk or turn to air. By default crops will turn to deadbushes and other blocks will not grow. You can change this setting in the configuration files. If you wish to apply different seasons to the existing blocks then you will need to make use of the Penguin-Lib database. Create a csv file data/simplyseasons/database/growth_seasons.csv and then fill out the details you wish. This will override the defaults listed below.

Predicates

You may have noticed the above file uses predicates instead. This is to make it easier to group seasons together. You can create your own in a season_predicates.csv. Or just make use of the existing ones, example below.

If you wish to add more blocks, you could technically override this file but it's recommended to use your own NAMESPACE instead of the simplyseasons one.
